GZIST hosted a meeting of acceptance inspection for Provincial-level and University-level key disciplines on the afternoon of December 23, 2021, presided over by Vice President Zhang Shimei. Leaders and experts attending the meeting included Jin Tianlai, Deputy Director of the Scientific Research Office of Guangdong Provincial Education Department, Huang Daoping, Professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Automation Science and Engineering of South China University of Technology, He Yong, Professor of the School of Management of Guangdong University of Technology, Jiang Fan, Professor of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Guangzhou University, and six experts from GZIST Academic Committee.

Deputy Director Jin fully affirmed the achievements made in the running of the key disciplines, and put forward four requirements for future work: first, further strengthen discipline planning; second, work on building the teaching team; third, accelerate scientific and technological innovation, and fourth, develop high-quality talents.

The two Provincial-level key disciplines, Management Science and Engineering and Electrical Engineering, and the three University-level key disciplines, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Technology and Business Administration, were inspected and accepted according to the procedures of reporting, expert inquiry, data assessment and acceptance inspection respectively. All of the above-mentioned disciplines  passed the acceptance inspection, among which Business Administration was rated excellent, and Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science and Technology rated good.
