It was the first time for our students to have won one second prize and two third prizes from the 5th National College Students Innovation Competition organized by China Creative Society.
The “Unmanned Vehicle System” tutored by Wang Li for the student team of Wen Yuefeng, Chen Xingshuai and Liao Junfeng, won the second prize. They designed an unmanned vehicle with double closed-loop motion system based on the main control chip STM32F407, with the function of multi-information fusion visual recognition supported by the combination of the on-board camera module, motor drive module and multiple sensors.
The “Intelligent Mobile Garbage Station" supervised by Wang Li for the student team of Chen Jiahong, Li Shoulin and Hong Yulong, won the third prize for crafting the bottom motion device, voice device, automatic garbage sorting device, garbage box and four garbage sorting collectors. “Golden Lion Dance” submitted by student Chen Meihua and teacher Yu Yonglong won another third prize. The whole work is decorated with discarded wrapping paper and gold foil paper for the decoration of lions. Its distinctive golden texture with brilliant color presents a calm image and an air of mightiness. The vivid golden lion draws the attention of people to the folk art “Lion Dance” again by excavating its cultural charm.
Creativity paves the way for a better life. The purpose of the competition is to encourage college students to actively participate in technological innovation activities for the cultivation of innovative inspiration and ability. More students are guided to demonstrate their innovative thinking and techniques with their hands-on ability.
