Our university won 1 first prize, 4 second prizes and 5 third prizes in the 2022 Guangdong University Student Computer Design Competition Final, among which 6 works will be promoted to the national competition in July.

  Students from Computer Science and Technology, Digital Media Technology,Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Internet of Things Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering participated in the competition. There were 35 works and 83 people signed up, of which 24 works were selected for provincial competition. Compared with the previous contest, the number and quality of the awards have been greatly improved.

 In recent years, our university has adhered to the principle of "promoting teaching by competition, learning by competition and innovation by competition", vigorously promoting the integration of ideological and political education, curriculum, specialty, research, competition, industry and innovation, and building a discipline competition pattern with subject, core and interest complementing each other. There have been frequent wins in academic competitions, and breakthroughs have been made in academic competitions. The number of awards at or above the municipal level has increased by more than 40% annually. Discipline competition has become an important means to cultivate students' innovative and entrepreneurial ability, playing a pivotal role in the talent development of our university.

 “Computer Design Contest for College Students is an academic competition for colleges and universities nationwide, also one of the ten competitions sponsored by the Education Department every year. The contest aims to improve college students computer application ability, cultivate students information literacy and sense of teamwork, enhance students innovative consciousness and creativity, and improve the quality and level of computer teaching. A total of 4,033 works from 120 colleges and universities in Guangdong Province participated in the on-campus trials, with nearly 20,000 teachers and students participating. This year, the number of participants and of works increased significantly. The majority of students use computer technology as a means to carry out innovative practice, which improves their innovative,, teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
