The “8th China International Internet + College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship University-level Finals” organized by the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship opened in No. 1 Lecture Hall on May 26. Xiao Hai, deputy secretary of the party committee and vice president, attended the meeting, as well as the directors of relevant departments and schools, counselors, instructors, and student representatives.
In his address, Xiao Hai, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Vice President, expressed ardent expectations for our university innovation and entrepreneurship. He stressed the importance of this area of work and the building of the education mechanism. He hoped that through several years of hard work, our university would be able to make greater achievements in this field.
The participating teams demonstrated the significance of their projects through PPT roadshows and answered questions from the judges. During the competition, each team took turns elaborating on the feasibility, value and innovation of their projects. The wonderful roadshow defense showed students’ enterprising spirit, and fully demonstrated the core spirit of "courage to innovate" for the competition.
Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Yu Yonglong, commented on the competition on behalf of the panel. He praised the efforts of all teams and put forward suggestions and hopes. After the assessment, 1 grand prize, 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, and 8 third prizes were awarded to the teams.
Ignite the passion of youth and inspire the vitality of entrepreneurship. The competition not only cultivated a number of young people with ideals, skills and responsibilities, but also brought out a lot of high-quality projects with advanced technology, great market potential and good social benefits, releasing the infinite power of “youth + innovation and entrepreneurship”.
In the aim of implementing the work of moral and political education and with the competition as an important starting point, this activity demonstrated the innovative wisdom of college students in the new era, and enrich our students' extracurricular life.
