On the morning of April 26th, as one of the important activities of the “Three-Whole People Development Week, an innovation and entrepreneurship lecture was held in No. 2 Lecture Hall. Zeng Zhun, President of Guangdong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship College, was invited to give a special lecture entitled “From Entrepreneurship to Entrepreneurial Elite -- The Growth Logic of College Student Entrepreneurs”. Xiao Hai, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Vice President, awarded him the Appointment Letter of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Mentor. Zhang Zhihong, Director of the CPC Committee Office, presided over the lecture and more than 300 teachers and students attended it.
President Zeng started by asking the question “What is innovation and entrepreneurship”. He noted that innovation includes product,, technology, market and model innovation; while entrepreneurship is to create new value and accomplish a new career. President Zeng led the students to review the CPC building spirit, which should be incorporated into the entrepreneurial practice with the altruistic spirit of serving the people. In response to “Why entrepreneurship fails”, President Zeng put forward three core elements: business opportunities, resources and teams. He encouraged students to constantly improve themselves combining the professional characteristics with their own advantages. College students are the new force of mass entrepreneurship and innovation. The connotation of innovation and entrepreneurship is to cultivate entrepreneurial elites on the basis of cultivating entrepreneurial genes with entrepreneurial spirit as the core.
As a National Outstanding Innovation and Entrepreneurship Mentor, President Zeng has made great achievements in teacher training of innovation and entrepreneurship, incubation of entrepreneurship projects, and guiding students to participate in competitions. His lecture, with rich cases and wonderful presentations promoted our students' understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship and stimulated their enthusiasm.
He encouraged students to actively participate in innovation and entrepreneurship activities, and realize their own value by combining personal growth with national development, personal pursuit of ideals with national revitalization.
