On the afternoon of April 24, the university held the 9th GZIST Final of China College Students “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition at No.1 Conference Hall. CPC Deputy Secretary and Vice President Xiao Hai attended the competition and made a speech. Leaders of relevant functional departments and secondary schools, counselors, instructors and student representatives attended the competition, which has a total of 15 teams to contest.
CPC Deputy Secretary and Vice President Xiao Hai pointed out that this competition is an authoritative competition sponsored by the Ministry of Education. Its rapid development, high reputation and significant influence make it a carrier to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, an important platform to promote students’ all-round development and a key link to advance industry-university-research integration. Under the guidance of teachers, students improved their innovative and organizational ability through conducting investigation, solving social problems and writing business plans as a team.
Each team elaborated on the feasibility, value and core competitiveness of their projects and answered questions of the judges, displaying students’ high-spirited state of mind and pioneering efforts toward goals.
Mr. Chen Shihui, a Chinese youth entrepreneurship mentor, commented on the competition and recognized the great efforts made by all teams. He pointed out that the core of “Internet+” competition is innovation and entrepreneurship, which should be highlighted in the road show, and provided valuable advice for students to grow into excellent teams.
