On October 12, Associate Professor Lu Shuang, Dean of School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Sichuan College of Tourism, made a report for GZIST staff and faculty on the significance and implementation of innovation and entrepreneurship (I/E) in universities and colleges. GZIST President Hu Shejun, Secretary of CPC Committee Huang Shengcheng, Executive Vice President Fu Huanchang, Vice Presidents Chen Hanjun, Xiao Hai, Zhang Shimei, Zhang Rixin, Zhang Zhihong listened to the report.
Lu Shuang started his lecture by referring to the State documents regarding I/E and the Ministry of Education (MOE) Assessment Exercise for GZIST undergraduate programs, and the list of MOE Assessment Indicators for I/E. Using his own college as an example, he elaborated on the mechanism design and the I/E life cycle ecology, the achievements his college has made in I/E, his suggestions for GZIST for higher quality and greater results.
President Hu thanked Associate Professor Lu for his insightful report, which conforms to the State’s emphasis on I/E, a lifeline for GZIST’s high quality development. He called on all the university staff and faculty to help our students the best way they can with greater enthusiasm, patience and love.
