(Gao Min) May 18-19, 2024, Guangdong Province Universities and High Schools Track & Field Relay Championships attracted the Province 82 teams with 1400 runners. Led by Cai Yuhao and coaches Jiang Jieliang and Chen Saihong, GZIST Track & Field Team scored No. 1 through the two-day fierce contests. In particular, our men’s 4x100 meter, 4x400 meter relay, women’s 4x400 meter relay, mixed 4x200 meter, and women’s 4x100 meter relay culminated to be No. 1 (First Prize) in Universities Group A. Jiang Jieliang and Chen Saihong honored the title “Excellent Coaches”.
Under the guidance of Guangdong Province Department of Education, Guangdong Province Federation of Students Sports and Arts hosted the championships to enhance students’ physical build and teamwork and promote track & field among the Province universities and colleges. The event, therefore, is the largest in scale and number of participants as well as the most influential.
